Stablecoin and network risk
A stablecoin may lose its intended peg, face redemption limits or be frozen by its issuer. Blockchains can be congested or unavailable; transaction finality and fees vary. Sending an asset to the wrong address or network may cause irreversible loss.
Provider and counterparty risk
A provider, bank, custodian or other counterparty may suspend service, reject a request, impose limits or experience operational or financial failure. Provider approval and a familiar brand do not remove these risks. Deposit insurance must not be assumed to apply to stablecoins or every account arrangement.
Settlement, FX and returns
Quotes may expire. Network fees, conversion rates, bank charges, holidays and payment cutoffs affect the amount and timing. A transfer can remain under review, be returned or be credited incorrectly. A request to return funds is not a completed refund.
Legal and availability risk
Laws, sanctions and provider policies can change. Permissions for one entity, market, service or business purpose do not necessarily extend to another. The software model does not itself guarantee an exemption from regulation.
